Born in Rome, New York in 1956, and a product of the baby boomer generation. Raised and reared in Syracuse and New York City respectively. Received informal art education and instruction from Ms. Maria Carmen Garcia who studied art at San Marcos University in Lima, Peru.

While in high school I worked for General Electric as a detailed draftsman and layout designer. Studied Psychology at Syracuse University and received my Masters Degree in Educational Psychology/Counseling from Atlanta University.

My style of painting involves a combination of many different approaches, ranging from mix medium using recycled acrylic paint chips peeled from my palette board to surrealism.

Initially when I first started painting at age 12, I painted for the sake of painting, with no concept of life or purpose, void of my culture or my life experiences. Today I paint with the purpose of incorporating all my life experiences and my cultural identity and roots. Reflecting and illustrating positive themes and topics, that will stimulate positive vibrations, with the intent to heal the visual spirit. I purposely create artwork that will provoke positive and stimulating conversations. The images vary depending, on the themes or topics drawing from my African-American roots to my love of jazz music and musicians. These are some of the subjects that I use to express my creative abilities.

As a self-taught artist, who is always willing to explore new techniques of expressions sets no limitations on my creative visions. If the acrylic paint chips, help convey a living message to my audience and or emotionally inspires them, then my ultimate goal has been achieved. I know everyone may not enjoy nor understand most of my creations, but I do hope most viewers will get a sense of joy of life and what I do as an artist.
